Autumn's play

It’s play time!!!!!

Characters:
The sun
Mary the villager
The moon
Enna dancer
Rock

Moon: I’m just sitting around. I wish I could come down and sleep. I’m so tired. Why can’t I sleep already? Can’t the sun wake up? Wait! The sun is rising. How long has he been aleap
Sun: Oh, I just woke up.
Moon: I get to go to sleep!!
Mary: holding a parasol, and walking very feminine like. I heard there was some talking animals here. I guess there’s not. I’ll just go and wait till the night time.
Sun: why is she waiting till night? She’s mea. She doesn’t wait till I’m up. That’s it!!! I’m going down there to tell her she’s mean. {Sun goes down and stands in front of Mary} You’re very mean. You love the moon more than you love me. You’re suppose to love me more.
Mary: I do love you more.
Sun: Are you telling the truth?
Mary: Of course.
Sun: If you see me in the morning, and you give me a big hug, you’ll be my best BFF ever.

The sun was waiting, and waiting, and waiting. The moon was rising and that meant the sun could go to bed.

Mary: I was just lying to that sun. I do love the moon better. I’m waiting to talk to the moon.
Moon: Hello Mary. How are you doing today?
Mary: Very good. How bout you?
Moon: I’m doing very good. Ho are you today, or night?
Mary: I’m scared because I lied to the sun. I told him I love him more thanb I love you. But, I do love you more than I love him.
Moon: Oh mary it’s ok, you don’t have to lie.

{Enter Rock}

Rock: Well mary. Tellthe truth, don’t lie. It’s never good to tell a lie. You should always tell the truth.
Mary: Well, I am going to talk to the sun tomorrow.
Moon: Oh mary, it’s ok. You’re my best bff. You don’t ever have to lie to me. {For the first time the moon shows his face to mary} Oh mary, it’s almost time for me to set. Talk to the sun, he’s just rising.(exit)
(enter sun)
Sun: Mary, how are you doing today?
Mary: You need to come down, I can’t hear you.

The sun came down from the sky and stood in front of Mary

Sun: Oh no Mary. It’s going to start rainging. It can’t rain on me.
(enter Enna with big fat umbrella)
Enna:{With southern accent} Howdy all. I’m jst here to see you mary. I heard that it’s gonna rain on the sun here? Is that true? I’m very sorry if it is. But, it’s not my fault you were the one who wanted the sun to come down.
Sun disappears. Mary pulled her umprella down, put it back the way it was, and walked away.
Enna: I’m southern accent girl, and I can dance. I can dance all the way to the sun.
Mary:{Mary unfold her umbrella and walks back over to Enna} Oh Enna realy? If you can, I can. If you can dance like this, I can dance like this. I can dance all the way to the sun.

Mary makes a cross with a straw stick and a long big leaf.

Mary: Do you know what that stands for Enna?
Enna{frightened. Her eyes opened wide. She made a deep hole with her stick. She had a frowning face.} What?
Mary: That means you’re dead! You’re gonna loose and not get the prize. I will. If I can dance like this, I can dance all the way up there. So, are you going to take your chances/
Enna: Yes
Mary: Well, if you’re gonna take the chances.
